As a Computer Center Department Head, I designed a series of guidelines for staff to use in assisting patrons. The Standards of Spring Valley Library Customer Service was necessary to provide efficient service to a large and demanding patron clientele. I emphasize establishing a welcoming atmosphere along with departmental teamwork. This allows the Spring Valley Library to be successful at presenting the Foundations of the Profession competency.
